Fall Quarter Lab Cleanup/Social
Cleaning is always better with socializing and sandwiches!
The DECOMP Lab gathered once again to tidy up the lab after all of the pioneering research that has taken place since our last cleanup. All of the extracts from Germán's pickleweed experiment were disposed of, spaces in the lab were cleared out to make more room for Jesse's avocado experiment, soil samples were sorted through, and lab members got to do a lot of catching up and bonding during the process. After the dirty work was done, we were rewarded with our favorite lab tradition: South Coast Deli sandwiches! Many interesting topics were discussed over our sandwiches, including some that were Geography related, some that weren't, and a very passionate conversation about the newest season of the hit show, Stranger Things.
For many of the lab members, this was a bittersweet social/cleanup, as it was our last opportunity to say our goodbyes to Germán because they were awarded their PhD in Geography this quarter. See our next post for more information!
The lab is now looking spick and span! Until the next lab social!
